Calling all creative minds!

Help needed to come up with a catchy and creative name for a service that supports perinatal dads' mental health.

Please share your suggestions! Thank you!

My town has a dads group called “Dad’s behaving Dadly” which I think is funny

SarahAndQuack · 12/07/2023 22:37

How about 'Hey, we named our own group, because dads don't need to offload the labour onto mums'?

While I'm being picky, I don't think you can be a perinatal dad. I know what you mean - you mean the time before and after your partner gives birth - but 'perinatal' usually refers to before and after your pregnancy.

LadyLapsang · 12/07/2023 22:41

Maybe ask the dads or have a competition to come up with a name which will help publicise the service. Many years ago we wanted to attract people to a new service and held a competition to win a signed match ball and a pair of tickets to a match. It was really popular. ( Of course, not all men like football, you could come up with another prize.)

Yes. And getting women to come up with the name as well as doing all the baby growing stuff.

How about asking dads to come up with a name? Isn't there a thing called dadsnet?

Dad life.
I think there is a Facebook account with that name where I read a good post a few weeks back about enjoying your child now, at this age, because you'll never be in that moment again.

PartnerPrep - otherwise it's a bit exclusive I think? Where do lesbian couples get the same support?

From the same place mums get it?
I am an adopter and mental health support was offered when my two were under 5. I didn't give birth but it was clearly for me, but I can see how dads might prefer to discuss things with other dads.
