Chichester - recommend me a hotel?

I need a hotel in Chichester for one night, walkable to the cathedral if possible

I’ll be on my own so would like somewhere I can easily walk to and from the town centre - I don’t actually mind distance (am happy to walk a couple of miles) but don’t want to be in quiet back streets in the dark. I do need parking as well though!

It’s for next month. Not fussed about dinner; would rather have a meal in a restaurant and then go back to the hotel. Must have good wifi as I need to do some work

Does anyone have a recommendation for me please? I have of course looked at websites but would love to hear any views

I can highly recommend the accommodation at the cathedral. Parking on site. Very well equipped and safe.

There's a Travelodge close to the cathedral.

The Harbour Hotel is nice, good location and really comfy bed. Breakfast wasn’t worth it IMO, especially if you’re veggie/vegan/have dietrary requirements.

Would recommend Spires on Crane Street or Hoxton Bakehouse on South street for breakfast pastries instead.

Thank you! I’d no idea there was accommodation at the cathedral - and the Travelodge for some reason doesn’t show up on the booking websites.

I’d seen the Harbour Hotel and it’s on my list, so good to have an opinion. I’m happy to have breakfast elsewhere; will check out those recommendations

Actually really excited about this 24 hours of enforced time in Chichester, so if there are any must-sees I’ll be pleased to hear them! I’ll check out the walls and the museum, but you can get round so much more when you’re on your own…
