People who know Facebook, I have a question....

I have a Facebook friend who I noticed hadn't really commented on anything or posted for a while.

Not a close friend, just 'someone I know'.

Searched for the name, person is still on my friend list.

Visited their page, it says 'no posts to show' and all there is are two photos - there were loads there before and lots of posts.

Am I blocked or have access limited in some way, or have they just decided they don't really want to use Facebook any more, but didn't want to delete their account?

Sounds like you've been restricted.

Minikievs · 12/07/2023 15:51

They've limited your access

WellThisIsFun1 · 12/07/2023 15:55

Ah ok thanks.

Wonder what I've done LOL.

Not close enough to them to enquire why so I guess it's no biggie

Why leave just two photos though?

I am gradually removing my old stuff (cringey or pointless) and I don't post new things. I often wonder if friends think they're blocked.

Maddy70 · 12/07/2023 16:07

You haven't been blocked I do it from time to time. There is a facility to restrict previous posts to everyone. I do it for security. I can still see them bit others can't.

Of course they could have just restricted you but they probably havent

DogInATent · 12/07/2023 16:10

They've limited their access, but there's no way of knowing if that's specific to you or if it applies to all their FB Friends.

If there are just a couple of photos showing it's likely they've restricted everything but profile photos.

Sometimesgood · 12/07/2023 16:26

The two photos are likely to be profile pic and background pic.

WellThisIsFun1 · 12/07/2023 16:29

@Sometimesgood yes they are now you come to mention it
