Scotland….. do you think another heat wave is coming or was that it in June?

I want that 25+ degrees back is it coming do you think? I read we are due another in July.
I want to wear my summer gear!!

Autumn is on the way……. Thought we were to get another heat wave this is pants!!

When do we ever get a heat 'wave'?

Couple of weeks of sun and warm temperatures if we're lucky, but this summer has just been pretty much prototypical Scotland. Nice and bright for most of June, a couple of weeks of genuinely warm weather in the middle of it, then an entire month of 13-14 degrees, cloud, and on/off rain.

If we're lucky there might be a day or two in August where the temp creeps into the 20's, but I've seen enough Scots summers now to inherently know that this year's is already 'ersed'.

NI here not Scotland but I keep wondering this too. The paddling pool is sitting sadly unused since June.

Yip NI here as well and I'm really fed up with the "summer" so far. My poor DS is bored and frankly I'm bored too! I just want a bit of sun!!

I'm WFH in a fleece hoodie!

It's freezing! I'm resisting the tights and boots but I fear they'll be making a reappearance shortly. Had one week of wearing my nice summer wardrobe in work. Be as well putting the tree up guys.

Scotland is generally at its best, weather-wise, late May / early June and late August /early September. It's aye been.

This seems like a normal summer to me too. But hotter than usual in June, bit wetter than usual in July, but definitely within normal variation. Expect a couple of random sunny days in August.

Can't tell you if it will get hot hot again, sorry 😆 Hope not for my sake though, can't stand the heat!

Last July I was swimming in the sea in st andrews at 11am and got burnt on the beach the same day. It was roastin! And that lasted a good few weeks too I think.
today’s not bad where I am mind you, but I like waking up to full sun and confidently going for a summer outfit for the day type of weather……..

My horses summer coat is coming out already. It’s going to be a long winter

I read today that the Met Office are predicting good, sunny weather to come back around the third week of August.

July has been rubbish. Scottish summers are rubbish.
