I got some nice news today

I have been seriously broke for the last 8 months, let go from my job through no fault of mine or my employer - they did everything they could to help,

Just about managed my rent and juggled bills, lost weight by following the poor mans diet :)

I applied for a pay day loan and 2 minutes before it was approved my old boss sent me a back dated payment for 4 times the amount I had applied for,

I was so so happy to "cancel this transaction"

I start a new job next week, on a much bigger salary, so we will be ok :)

Just wanted to share my luck and hope other people catch it,

Thank you so much for all the well wishes, I was teary before I posted, proper crying now!

I applied for the loan to get some work outfits and DD really wanted to do a surf summer camp,

DD's Dad has stepped up as much as he could so she hasnt done without but even with him paying for camp, I still had petrol costs and spending money to cover so it was still a real worry,

I feel like I am breathing better, thats probably only in my head but I feel so much lighter :)

I hope everyone who needs a break gets one :)

Thanks for posting this @littlewin - it depresses me no end hearing about people, through no fault of their own, having a run of bad luck - this is why, in spite of not liking Nick Knowles at all, I enjoy watching DIY SOS. In my life I have seen many times how totally unexpected good things come out of nowhere - it does happen - so I always hold on to that thought when things aren't going well and your little win helps keep that thought alive. But don't "all good things come in threes!?" - maybe there's more to come!?
