How much would you pay this tradesman?

I have someone coming to do a small job for me. He is part of a company I used to do a lot of work recently but this is a small job i asked him to do independently.

The part costs £45 and he says it is a quick job and he doesn't want anything for doing it. Obviously I'm not going to let that happen. I will put money in an envelope for the part and extra for his time. The question is how much extra? Any thoughts on this?

£20 + part cost

It's enough to show that you're not taking advantage while also respecting that he's helped you.

I was thinking £70 total which is around £24 extra so that seems reasonable?

£70 total sounds perfect!
