What is Prime Day?

Here's some information about Prime Day - when it is, what you can expect and also how to cancel Prime so you don’t get tied into an annual subscription if you don’t want one.

This year, Prime Day falls on the 11 and 12 July, meaning that Prime customers can access exclusive deals - some to rival those seen on Black Friday weekend. Prime plans cost £95 for a year, or £8.99 a month. There's a 30-day free trial (sign up here) if you don’t want to commit to membership but want to take advantage of the great deals.

If you don’t want to pay for Prime after your free trial has ended, you can follow our handy guide on how to cancel Prime.

I have just bought Kindle Paperwhite no ads for £109.99 which is a 31% discount. Also Nutribullet down 29% to £49.99. Both of these I have waited to get because of Prime day.

Great finds @bubbleofsoap!

For anyone else interested in the Nutribullet (600 series), here's the deal

ClareMumsnet · 11/07/2023 09:44

@Panapan There's a good deal on the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor (now £194.99, was £299.99) - great reviews and lowest price it's ever been according to CamelCamelCamel!

I've shared a link to the Owlet sock above, but there's the Owlet Monitor Duo - Cam and Smart Sock 3 bundle too (now £269, was £399).

ClareMumsnet · 11/07/2023 09:50

@Panapan Do you have a particular product or brand in mind or open to all options? I can try to do some digging for you...

ClareMumsnet · 11/07/2023 10:35

Panapan · 11/07/2023 09:53

We have had a motorola one for 7 years but the connection has always been loose and unreliable. Expecting baby 4 now and want something that is reliable but I’m not too worried about it having all the gadgets. Just to be able to hear (and see if poss but not essential) baby from another room. Long range would be good as house is quite big. I’m not picky as to brand.

@Panapan The HelloBaby monitor (now £55.99 - 20% off) might fit the bill? It's one we recommend in our baby monitors round-up. It's a video monitor, but great value and range also pretty good!

ClareMumsnet · 11/07/2023 10:48

JingsMahBucket · 11/07/2023 09:57

Well this is useful! I’ve been wanting a mop but have no idea where to start looking. Any suggestions? Also, we need to get a couple fans for our summerhouse/office to beat the heat. Recs for those would be great too please. 🙏

Hi @JingsMahBucket I assume you mean a steam mop? If so, the Vileda Steam Mop is just under 40% off for Prime Day. It's a bestseller and also great value! Looks to be the lowest price it's ever been as well!

The Shark is also on offer, now £99.99

As for fans... the Pro Breeze Tower Fan, which we recommend in our tower fans round-up, is 25% off. But will keep an eye out for more for you

maddnorth · 11/07/2023 10:40

Just gone for a Shark 270 handheld WandVac at £99 down from £179.99, now hoping that is a genuine good deal (seems to be full price at John Lewis and Argos)

LookItsMeAgain · 11/07/2023 09:58

I'm looking for a pair of wireless headphones (not too expensive but have good quality sound) and if possible a blender and food processor. Quite the eclectic am I 😄

@LookItsMeAgain Haha love it!

There's a deal on the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor and Blender, which gets great reviews!

I know you said food processor, but sharing the Nutribullet again too as it's popular and a very good price!

Are you after in-ear or over-ear wireless headphones?

ClareMumsnet · 11/07/2023 11:11

gibegobble · 11/07/2023 10:01

I'm after a wet/dry vaccum/mop, like an all in one thing that mops and vacuums at the same time! Anyone seen any?

Hi @gibegobble ! Not sure if you're considering a robot vac, but the Eufy G10 RoboVac has an integrated mop and is just under 30% off.

If your budget can stretch, the Tineco Floor One S5 is another good option! Very competitively priced based on past deal info I can find.

BeccyMumsnet · 11/07/2023 13:42

LookItsMeAgain · 11/07/2023 11:27

Thanks for the food processor/blender suggestions.

I'm looking for lightweight over the ear headphones that are wireless.

Hey @LookItsMeAgain - for over the ear, wireless headphones, I've found these deals so far:

Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones,Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones, was £199, now £123

Beats Studio3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones, was £350, now £195

Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones, was £350, now £208

Bose QuietComfort® 45 Bluetooth wireless noise cancelling headphones, was £320, now £179

soundcore by Anker Life Q30 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, was £80, now £49

For a cheaper option, there's these JBL Tune510BT ones - there's only a 5% discount today, but they're super affordable and their special feature is that they're lightweight.

If you're open to earbuds at all, I personally use SONY wireless ear buds and highly recommend. They're discounted from £99 to £79 today: Sony WF-C700N Wireless, Bluetooth, Noise Cancelling Earbuds

I wonder if you could please recommend a 65" Smart TV on Amazon Prime days?

Thank you

Hey @Beeswood - I can't see if you've had a response yet. Do you have a specific brand of TV in mind? I've taken a look for you already and managed to find these deals - they're not all huge savings in general (only the Hisense is at 43% off), IMHO, but depending on your budget one of these might be an option?

TCL 65P639K 65-inch 4K Smart TV, was £499, now £399

Toshiba UF3D 65 Inch Smart Fire TV, was £549, now £398

Samsung 4K Crystal UHD Smart TV, was £699, now £599

If none of these tickle your fancy I've filtered the Prime Day deals to show 65" TVs for you to browse through here. HTH!

BeccyMumsnet · 11/07/2023 15:55

Cornishmumofone · 11/07/2023 15:13

I desperately wanted a robot mower that can cope with 30-35% incline, but I missed out this morning. If anyone finds a good deal on one, I'd be grateful if they you could share!

Hey @Cornishmumofone - would this one do the trick?

BeccyMumsnet · 11/07/2023 16:05

HundredMilesAnHour · 11/07/2023 14:58

I bought another Echo Dot (for the kitchen) as I've been surprised how much I use the ones in the living room and bedroom (all my electrics, lights etc are controlled by Alexa). I checked Camel Camel Camel first and it's the cheapest it's been.

I hear you @HundredMilesAnHour - we have two DC and being able to turn the TV on/off and select shows/channels via Alexa is incredibly helpful!! 😅

For anyone else on the hunt for an Echo Dot, they're currently £22, discounted from £55.

Alternatively - there's the Echo Pop that's only £18(!!), down from £45.
