Hi folks,

Welcome to your annual Prime Day thread. This is where we’ll share the best deals we can find in a multitude of categories over the Prime Day period (11-12th July), from Amazon devices, laptops and Kindles to toys, buggies and newborn essentials. We encourage you to share your top finds here too!

If you’re looking for beauty bargains or top deals on general household items, be sure to visit our Prime Day beauty and household threads.

We know Amazon isn’t for everyone, but if looking to bag a bargain then put a watch on this thread and be sure to let us know if you’re after something in particular - we’ll be more than happy to hunt down a deal for you if we can.

You do need to be a Prime member to take advantage of the deals, so if you want to sign up, click here to get started (here’s our guide on cancelling Amazon Prime too)

Top 3 deals Prime Day deals right now

53% off the Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro Tablet, now £69.99 (was £149.99)

60% off the Echo Dot (5th Gen, 2022 release), now £21.99 (was £54.99)

We'll post deals in categories in the comments below so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for and we’ll post more throughout the day. Don't forget that Prime Day carries on tomorrow so we'll be back then too.

If you’d prefer getting deals straight to your inbox, sign up to receive our Money Saver newsletter. We’ll send out a special round-up of the best discounts later today.

Just so you’re aware - Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

And FYI, if you recommend deals on the thread, we might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful to other users.

Don't want to piss on anyone's chips, but just to let you know that Amazon ramps the prices up pre-Prime day to make it look like they're offering amazing discounts.

Looking for a bargain price on an under desk walking pad, has anyone seen anything like that please?

@OneThingAndThenTheNext I need one of these! 😅

So far I've found (assuming this is what you mean!)...

WalkingPad P1 Treadmill, now £280 (was £329) - 15% off and a bestseller!

Or this one, which is quite a bit cheaper...

Bigzzia Motorised Treadmill, now £181.99 (was £229.99)

There's also this one from Walden (£149), but it's not in the Prime Day sale

I desperately wanted a robot mower that can cope with 30-35% incline, but I missed out this morning. If anyone finds a good deal on one, I'd be grateful if they you could share!

There are still bargains to be found actually, I have a few things I'll be purchasing later that have been nowhere near as lowly priced as they are now, I have been checking them regularly. Your comments have also already been mentioned previously in the thread, though if you don't actually have any interest in buying anything on Prime day, I don't know why you opened the thread.

ApocalypseNowt · 11/07/2023 15:18

I really want a soda stream! Are the different models all that different or would I be ok with the basic aka cheapest one?

ClareMumsnet · 11/07/2023 15:25

I know! Stuff I've bought in the last few weeks are on prime and lightning deals and they're more expensive than I got them for.

They con so many people into thinking they're getting some kind of special bargain!

There are a few things that are good but overall it's not worth it.

HundredMilesAnHour · 11/07/2023 14:58

I bought another Echo Dot (for the kitchen) as I've been surprised how much I use the ones in the living room and bedroom (all my electrics, lights etc are controlled by Alexa). I checked Camel Camel Camel first and it's the cheapest it's been.

I hear you @HundredMilesAnHour - we have two DC and being able to turn the TV on/off and select shows/channels via Alexa is incredibly helpful!! 😅

For anyone else on the hunt for an Echo Dot, they're currently £22, discounted from £55.

Alternatively - there's the Echo Pop that's only £18(!!), down from £45.

ArmyOfSkanks · 11/07/2023 16:14

I just did a thing where you top up your Amazon gift card balance with £40, and they add another £5 to it.

It came up under the deals when I looked at the home page. Apparently you can only do it if you haven’t used that sort of deal before. It’s definitely worked; I can see the balance (and have used some of it on Whiskas pouches, which are definitely cheaper than usual today)

ManyATrueWord · 11/07/2023 16:39

I bought 100 laminate pouches for £7 instead of the usual £11. Works for me! Must see if they have any A3 laminators available...

If you put a product url into CamelCamelCamel here:

https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/

It will tell you if the price is a genuine reduction or if the price was hiked recently to make the mega discount claim legal.

A lot of products have seen prices go up in the last month before coming down for prime day.

Thank you!

PlainOldEmmaJane · 11/07/2023 17:14

Some of the fitbits have pretty decent reductions.
