Picturesque and decent food would be a massive plus. And if there's a nice area to go for a walk nearby.
Trying to plan some low effort summer day trips that will be enjoyable for the whole family, not going on a big holiday this year.
Many thanks!

The Horse & Groom at Bourton on the Hill has a beautiful view from the beer garden and is dog friendly. There are walks around there too and also Batsford Arboretum which is a lovely walk with a nice cafe too.

Located in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Hill, The Horse & Groom is the perfect retreat for a leisurely bite to eat, a few drinks, or a relaxing Cotswolds stay.

@Cheerfulcharlie one of my favourite cotswold villages. You can walk to Moreton as well (or vice versa)

Thank you so much, it looks perfect!

I hope you have a lovely day! If you walk to Moreton in Marsh then I recommend this cafe which is also dog friendly:

This is making me think that I might also plan a day out in the Cotswolds this summer !
Blenheim Palace & a wander round Woodstock is another favourite place for a day out.
