What kind of school shoes do year 8 boys wear?

My son has always been able to wear trainers in primary school so the school shoe thing is quite new to me. Son is trendy so every thing he see he thinks is too 'corporate' looking. What kind of school shoes are kids wearing these days?

They must be black leather and no trainers

My ds has just finished year 9. He’s had the same style of school shoe since year 7, he still has start rite, but they look grown up and not too “geeky”!

Look on the website and see if you can see what the kids are actually wearing. The problem with asking here is that schools and fashions vary according to area.
For instance our lower school allows trainers or anything entirely black. But Sixth form is so strict that half of the M&S school shoe section isn't suitable!

Yes ds is incredibly fussy about how shoes “feel” if they are the slightest bit stiff he will refuse to wear them!

I’d def speak to people there or get DS to walk past some time. I’ve worked in a few schools where students don’t wear the shoes linked above - one nowhere they all wore plain leather suit shoes, and another where they all wore kickers or leather converse.
