Can anyone help. Just on the face, both cheeks although one side more than the other and is spreading down to jaw. Also a bit between the eyebrows. It’s not itchy at all. I don’t have a temperature!

Cant see GP and system for submitting photos is closed. Pharmacist wasn’t sure

Came on quickly and is spreading quickly. Has doubled in size/spread in a day.

Hand foot and mouth ?
Although it looks more like shingles

Mableruby · 10/07/2023 15:34

Don’t think it’s shingles as is on both sides. My understanding is that shingles is just on one side and it isn’t itchy or painful

No, but it looks like it’s got a head on the spots, like shingles.

Mableruby · 10/07/2023 15:35

Yes they do have a head that’s right

Could it be an allergic reaction to something you have handled and then touched your face? Have you had an antihistamine?

Mableruby · 10/07/2023 15:37

Yes I did wonder about an allergy. I’ve taken an antihistamine today though I feel that it’s getting worse which isn’t consistent with single allergic exposure

My daughter woke up with these spots on her face yesterday morning, out of nowhere. I have given her antihistamine. Keen to hear responses

DustyLee123 · 10/07/2023 15:38

Have you done the glass test ?

Mableruby · 10/07/2023 15:39

Yes I’ve done the glass test and it blanches so not meningitis I don’t think (and not unwell; no temperature)

Have you been bitten perhaps ?

madeinmanc · 11/07/2023 10:05

Chicken pox? Happened to me like that.

madeinmanc · 11/07/2023 10:06

And I had had it as a child, just got it again as an adult for some reason. I didn't feel unwell apart from the red spots but had to isolate because of the risk to other adults.

Mableruby · 11/07/2023 12:50

Hello all; quick update. I’m isolating just in case is chickenpox but I think it is actually papulopustular rosacea! Got an appointment with a dermatologist and in the meantime ordered some cream through an online pharmacy just in case it gets really bad before I see them
