I have an active breast infection with an abscess (not breast-feedingi just have inverted nipples). My appointment to see a consultant is in a week from today, but the surgery (which I most likely need to drain said abscess) is a separate appointment that can take another week (if not more), but I'm off to France the following Saturday.

I can't just not go on a holiday that we've planned for months, so I'm thinking of do even more exercise hoping that the increased heart rate and sweat will make it develop further so I can just get the surgery done within this week.

From what I know, waiting two more weeks is way too long to try to get it sorted..that would be 4 weeks from when I first noticed the breast infection.

If it were me, I would get in touch with your consultants secretary and explain and ask for advice on what you should do - if you do go on holiday, what precautions can you take or do to help. They might even by then have a date for the op for you - you never know! Give it a go, I always find speaking to the secretary really helpful when Ive had to do so.

I think it's just a clinic, so no consultant assigned yet :(

I'm having my period ATM, so not sure what's the infection and what's my hormones
