Washing machine didn't drain

It seems to have been a one off. One load of washing was still dripping wet at the end of the cycle with alwater remaining in the drum.

Subsequent loads have been OK. The machine is only a year old. Is this a blip and everything will be well again now or is it on its way out?

Have you got the filter out and checked its not full of crap, its whats always wrong with mine

Muchtoomuchtodo · 09/07/2023 16:20

Was it a small load? If it all gets stuck on one side of the drum it won’t spin properly

pocketshelled · 09/07/2023 16:24

Mine does this if washing a big blanket or something, it can't even the load weight to spin. Sometimes it will do a lower speed spin instead. Also sometimes a coin or button in the filter.

  1. Check the filter (Google it for your model) - hair clips, plasters and coins get stuck in mine and can slosh around sometimes blocking sometimes not.
  2. Run a really hot wash with washing machine cleaner. I had to completely disassemble mine as I left it too late after the warning signs - the drain pipe was almost completely gunked up, and a hairball was the final straw that blocked it.

Mine does that if I overload it. If that's a possibility put half in something watertight and spin cycle half at a time. Probably isn't good for the machine but as a one off/ occasional thing it doesn't seem to do anything catastrophic l.

Clean the pump filter.
