I'm going away Wednesday. I need to tidy the house. I need to wash clothes. I need to finish packing and I'm just stuck. Literally stuck. My anxiety is sky high. I feel frozen and overwhelmed 😭

I would do the wash tomorrow, tidy up whilst the wash is on, then pack Tuesday night.

It's packing for 6 people. DH is working over time up until Tuesday night (unavoidable) plus were moving when we get back so everything is so stressful.

You need to just start OP. Get a load of washing on to get you going and then take it from there. You can do it!

Sorry that you're feeling this way. Is it general anxiety or for something in particular? Can you take a moment to do something that helps to relieve the anxiety? In this situation I might sit myself down with a coffee and a biscuit and write a physical list of what needs doing, that way I can tick it off as I go and feel a sense of accomplishment after each task which would relieve a tiny bit of anxiety.

Then I would start with the easiest task to get me going- either a load of washing or a small child's suitcase. Does the house really truly need tidying? That can be last on your list and if I was feeling anxious I'd have a low threshold for swanning off on holiday without doing that.

Hope this helps

Do one job now. Sometimes you just need to start to get motivation to continue.

Sit down and Wright a to do list. Then do one job at a time. Delegate as much as possible. Only do high priority jobs and leave things until you get back from holiday. Focus on your holiday and packing everything else can wait.

  1. Pick up all dirty clothes
  2. Sort into coloured / lights
  3. Put first wash on

Then have a cuppa and write a list for packing
