I have a wedding on Saturday at 2.30pm in East Sussex close to either east grinstead, tunbridge wells or Cowden (trains from either London Bridge or london victoria then have to arrange a taxi I think).

I arrive in london in gatwick at 8.30am.

I have a place to crash / leave stuff at in Farringdon, London (EC1) but not sure if it’s worth going there in between? Am bringing very simple wedding guest dress with me (boho garden wedding with v relaxed but stylish and lovely bride) so can get ready and stick a bit of mascara on anywhere en route if you see what I mean.

Don't underestimate a good premier inn. They all have a direct line number for reception too. (I have little experience of Travel Lodges!!)

If it is the PI I'm thinking of it is very close to the Chakra Spa at Felbridge Crowne Plaza.

But a long way out of EG town centre and the station.

I actually love a nice clean premier inn, so straightforward!

I'd book an East Grinstead taxi firm to pick you up in Gatwick drop your at your hotel and then pick you up later to take you to the wedding.
