Hey, I’ll chat. I am on the bed fuming after a silly row with DH. What’s getting you down? X

Anything in particular OP, or just one of those feelings you can't place or shift?

I think it’s just one of those things. Worried a bit about DS and I’m just in one of those anxious states recently x

So consuming once you're in that kind of headspace isn't it, it can be so hard to shift out of it.

Once there's something to worry about and worry sets in then I always find it's as though I'm 'on alert' and start overthinking everything else. That's the nature of anxiety I suppose but doesn't make it any easier.

I know it isn't anything groundbreaking but I often find forcing a distraction helps - listening to an audiobook or white noise, getting up and just doing something different to jolt the brain into a new focus. I also find writing it all down helps - what i'm worried about and all the issues that branch off of that and how that makes me feel - then I nip off for a cup of tea and too many biscuits and go back to it, cross off anything I can't control or that I don't know for certain is actually true and it often feels a bit more manageable or as though I've taken some control over how I feel. Sounds silly really but does sometimes help shift perspective.

How old is DS?
