I'm awake again. I woke at 2am and this was after taking a zopiclone. Arggh.
I have a mastectomy op on Tuesday so am anxious but time is dragging.
On Mon I'm going to clean change bed and shower in decontamination stuff exciting I know. But today is going to drag.
Doesn't help that our TV fucked up on Fri so waiting for repair man it's only 4 weeks old!

Anyone awake?

I’m awake too.

Hope you get better soon.

Hello why are you awake? My alexa told me the sun was awake ! This prompted me to get out of bed. Debating coffee

Hope all goes well. I had mine originally done 10 years ago and then redone 3 years ago(implant leaked so had the remainder take off).

TBH the surgery was ok and they gave me plenty of meds after. It's just scary shit though so I can understand the no sleep thing. I had a lovely female surgeon and aftercare at the breast clinic was so good.

Have you already had some treatment?

Stressedgiraffe · 09/07/2023 05:13

No no treatment. The surgeon is confident a mx will work followed by tamoxifen. Ironically I had my left one off 12 years ago followed by chemo and I don't remember being this scared. It was stage 3 and this is stage 2. Funny how the mind works

I'm awake at silly o'clock too. Hello. X

rockingbird · 09/07/2023 05:20

Morning! I'm awake to.. 4/5am daily sweating literally dripping = menopause 🫠 melting in this heat this morning.

Stressedgiraffe · 09/07/2023 05:21

Hello doesn't it make the day feel long?
Are you going to do anything useful? I'm sat on the sofa with a dog ( other one asleep on my bed) and the kitten. And it's raining.

Sorry you're going though this.

Can you make a list of things to do before you go in, and a list of things you'll want afterwards?

Presumably you won't be able to eg have a bath for a while afterwards? So you might have one tomorrow? Anything that requires lifting your arms above your head?

And tomorrow make sure you get out for some fresh air.

Very best of luck.

I’ve not been to sleep. No idea why, no reason just wide awake. It’s a very long night awake on your own. My Dc will wake up in an hour or so and I’ve been awake all night. So today will be fun. I really hope Tuesday goes well for you xx

Chewbaccaslime · 09/07/2023 05:46

Hope all goes well.with your operation OP.

My husband left me this week. Today he takes the kids. Just for the day. And after crying my eyes out so much over it all today I'm actually looking forwards to a lot of things. Like how much room there will be in the wardrobe.

Stressedgiraffe · 09/07/2023 06:03

I'm sorry/pleased for you. Just think you can eat whatever you like whenever. And less laundry!

Hope everything goes well for you this week OP.

For the last year or so I wake every bastard day between 4-4.30. I've actually had a little cry this morning cause I'm just so tired, I've also been unwell with some, I assume virus, which I thought had gone and now feels like it's back. Going to be a long day.

MinnieMountain · 09/07/2023 06:14

I regularly wake up at 5am due to peri-menopause which was started early by cancer treatment.

Is there anything you can do today that you won’t be able to do for a bit after your operation?

BTW I found tamoxifen makes me fatigued, so you might want to take vitamin B, iron and vitamin C each day once you start taking it.

TheDogsMother · 09/07/2023 06:26

Wishing you the very best for Tuesday OP. I can understand how the time must be dragging.

Here I am on a milestone birthday awake at 6.30 am. This is after a 4.30 start yesterday so I would have loved some more sleep. Ahh well.

LividHot · 09/07/2023 06:33

My toddler had his first overnight at his dad’s last night.

We normally cosleep.

I’m discombobulated. Hope he’s okay and also hope he doesn’t want to do it often. His dad is being spiteful and refusing to tell me how he’s doing.

Wish I could enjoy the peace but rn I can’t.
