I bought 2 radiator covers via Etsy, both made to measure (I have odd size radiators and couldn't find covers tall enough elsewhere). They are beautifully made, solid pieces, and delivery was lovely and friendly. However, they are not exactly as I asked which has niggled me, partly because looking back at our message trail, I was very clear about what I wanted, and partly because I paid extra for what I wanted, but then didn't get. One of them isn't painted the colour that I asked for and the other doesn't have the grating that I asked for (which I paid a bit extra for). I have sent the seller a message, which I think sounds very polite and friendly, but over 24 hours later have not heard back. I don't want to return them at all, they are still nice enough, I can get past one of them not having the front that I want, and I can paint the other (albeit being out of pocket for the paint). I guess I was hoping for acknowledgement of the mistake and a reimbursement of the extra that i paid for but didn't get. I havent raised an official help request with Etsy yet as i was hoping to just hear back from the sller via the message. I feel bad because i get that this is a small business trying to make some money but then i come back to my request being so clear - I literally summarised everything i wanted in one message, so i struggle to understand how such a mistake was made. So I guess I'm asking what you would do, and AIBU?
