What films do you watch when you want to leave your brain at the door?

Sometimes I just want to watch nonsense and for me, you can't beat a good old disaster movie. If I'm feeling a bit fed up (like I am today, thanks covid) give me The Towering Inferno or The Poseidon Adventure and I'm happy as a clam. Watched 2012 this afternoon. Man, that was utter shite and I feel I may have to trawl Netflix shortly for something else.

What are your preferences for 'no think watching' as my DS calls it?

Yes, I like 90s thrillers too. Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Perfect Murder, etc

Oh yes. I don't think I've seen THTRTC since I saw it at the cinema. Good call. I'll search that out for my watch list.

The Firm is available on All4. I've just put it on inspired by this thread.

I love that film as a weird guilty pleasure. It’s in Disney Plus for free, if you’ve got that.

For me, something that's actually on; rather than something I've trawled around to find. Can't beat serendipity. Smile

The first Guardians of the Galaxy is my usual comfort film.

The other day I wanted a break from all the true crime and dramas I usually watch, so I watched Encanto. It was lovely to just turn my brain off and relax.
