How many crisps do you eat at once?

Do you eat just one at a time from the packet or several at once?

Random but curious 😂

I don't eat crisps, but a prawn cracker takes 3 bites.

I must add that this accompanies my thimble of sherry @ Xmas.

Whatevergetsyouthroughthenight · 08/07/2023 19:23

One at a time. I like to save the bigger ones till last and then eat them half at a time (I.e. more than one bite).

Who eats one crisp from a bag? Are you on crack?

This made me howl! Those bags that say 'sharing' are a unique form of gaslighting!

7Worfs · 08/07/2023 19:43

One at a time, for maximum crunch.

Unless it’s Pringles and you have to use two to pretend you have a duck bill. Quack.

RausageSoul · 08/07/2023 19:50

I recently noticed I am unable to eat walkers French fries without looking savage. Im talking tongue out head bobbing...

I don't know if it's fear of dropping them or something but I'll never eat them in public!

Münchner · 08/07/2023 19:54

I tip the packet upside down and pour them into my mouth

TheChosenTwo · 08/07/2023 20:09

Well as you only get 13 crisps in a bag these days I can usually finish in 2 large pinches.
Crisps in a bowl where others are sharing I will be a bit more polite about it 😂

Paulrn · 08/07/2023 20:13

Depends on how many I can fit in 😁 Pringles are best as they stack neatly.

cocksstrideintheevening · 08/07/2023 20:14

One!

KohlaParasaurus · 08/07/2023 20:24

Crush them into crumbs, open one corner of the packet, stick a straw in and suck them up.

TheBig4O · 08/07/2023 20:26

Usually in a big handful EXCEPT for Coop seasalt and chardonnay vinegar crisps. You try to eat those in a handful and you'll end up in respiratory distress or 2nd degree burns in the mouth.

Rogue1001MNer · 08/07/2023 20:26

What are crisps, please?

LemonLimeDivine · 08/07/2023 20:29

One at a time usually until I’m down to the crumbs

SabrinaThwaite · 08/07/2023 20:34

But what about peanuts?

One at a time, or a whole handful at once?

LizHoney · 08/07/2023 20:35

Usually one. Sometimes three.

JonnyBriggs · 08/07/2023 20:59

It depends whose company I'm in.

GalileoHumpkins · 08/07/2023 17:48

One at a time. As in eat one, roll the packet closed, put in cupboard then eat another one the following day.

Are you my MiL? She does this. Even has a little clip to keep them fresh.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/07/2023 21:03

8

I just counted

@HadEnoughOfBears @35965a
If and when my husband and I ever divorce, this will be what finally cracks us.
I love to take my crisps one at a time and savour and enjoy each one. This absolute savage will take a man handful and stuff them into his grid 😰
He can empty a sharing pack in about 3 or 4 goes. It's impossible to enjoy them like that!

I agree.
I'm sure that comes under irrational behaviour.

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 08/07/2023 21:13

Crisps are like crack to me. I could happily eat a 6pack a day. But depends on size of crisp-large whole ones individually but broken ones can be two/three at a time

SabrinaThwaite · 08/07/2023 20:34

Crisps Coke out of the packet 2 or 3 at a time, but only one in my mouth.

Peanuts (dry roast only) come out in a fistful, then I pick out the halved ones and eat them, two at a time, then the whole ones, also two at a time. The two at a time thing is to maintain balance so if I have a left over half, it has to be bitten in two, or a whole one separated. I may be slightly weird about peanuts.

I’m just looking at grounds for unreasonable behaviour. DH shoves in a whole handful of peanuts (dry roast, what else) at one go, whereas I like to eat them mindfully.

Do you think I could get custody of the KP nut stockpile if it comes to divorce?

This has to be a joke.

If its not, this is PEAK MUMSNET.

One crisp a day ffs.

I prefer just half a crisp a day. I feel too bloated with one whole crisp.

Stop it 😂

What are these “crisps” you talk of?
