Jewelry designers, treating myself!

I recently got a bonus at work, and I'm hoping to buy myself a piece of jewelry - either a ring or a bracelet. I love the style of Sheila Fleet, but I'd like to get some other ideas. I quite like a more informal style I guess, and relatively understated (I wouldn't wear a massive stone as I'd just catch it on things!).

Does anyone have any favourite designers they'd care to name drop? Thanks in advance!

Hi, so I got £1k, which I'd happily spend the lot of if I found something really gorgeous. But was thinking maybe up to £500 or so and keep the rest for a rainy day.

I've been struggling with my MH and have been working really hard on myself for a few months so this is a bit of a reward for that too!

I like the nature-inspired pieces, but I'm a clumsy oaf so tend to avoid big stones/sticking out features on jewelry, as I just catch them on things all the time and ruin them!

I like Catherine Zoraida and Only Through Shadows but equally if I would probably make a day of it and go to look for them in person in some independent jewellery stores or somewhere like Liberty that sell a selection of designers in house - I think they have to be seen for that amount of money- get some lovely lunch etc.

Whereabouts in the country are you? Lots of choice if you're near London or Brighton. Gill Wing jewellery is nice for a browse (also has an online shop).

Definitely look at Liberty or John Lewis’ second hand stuff if you’re in London. Agree what a lovely treat, hope you get something you love

That's a good shout about somewhere like liberty. Most of the jewellery shops near me seem to just have the same design in different stones/metals, but not much variety of actual designs! I could make it to London for a day trip for sure!

Wait a bit and go to this exhibition. You meet the makers and can buy from them directly. All sorts of styles of jewellery. It's wonderful and only good quality makers are allowed to exhibit there.
