Has anyone tried one ?
I have a silk pillow case but still have a hot head, and it makes my ears itch.

Yes, we have gel pillow for my dc. Using one for nearly a decade. He can't sleep without it during summer.

The gel pillow we have needs to be kept in the freezer, but it doesn't freeze, it stays soft. It stays cool for about 8 hours. So, ideally, take it out in the evening and put it back in the freezer in the morning. But reality with my kid is, he forgets to put it back in the freezer in the morning, but we have 3 of them, so no big deal if he left it out.
