Strange celebrity question - Sia and Jason Donovan

I need to know if anyone else remembers this or if I’m having a Mandela Effect moment!

When Sia had her first hit in the UK - we’re talking 20 years ago, long before she went stratospheric with “Chandelier” and so on - I distinctly remember a radio interview where she said she was dating Jason Donovan. I remember because it came into my head again a few weeks later when Kylie Minogue was on CD:UK and was asked about new acts from Australia breaking through. When Sia was mentioned she said, “Sia? I don’t know her”, and I jokingly wondered if there was an element of dismissing her ex’s current girlfriend.

The thing is, I can’t find any mention of this online. It’s not on either of their Wikipedia pages, but if it was a fairly short-lived relationship, I can see why that might be. But surely there would be some random discussion page out there about it, rather than it just having been totally forgotten?

Please can someone else tell me they remember this and that I haven’t imagined the whole thing!

He's been with his now wife since about 1999 hasn't he? His daughter was born in 2000.

That’s a good point about his daughter - she must be early 20s. I suppose she’s not necessarily his wife’s daughter too though.

Maybe they’d been together some time before? It does seem strange I can’t find anything on Google though. Unless it was one of these things where they’d been “linked”, but there wasn’t actually anything in it?

Yes, that could be it. I much prefer that explanation to my having imagined the whole thing anyway!

I looked at them both on whosdatedwho and there's no mention (and WDW list even rumoured relationships).
I'm the epitome of 'recollections may vary' 😂 I chatted with my friend recently about a scene in the downton abbey movie that i'd found emotional, she had absolutely no recollection of the scene. I watched it again, and she was right, I must've dreamt it!
Time affects the memories we have, our brain tweaks our recall, completely normal - so don't worry about it!

There were lots of other stories about him back then but I don't remember hearing that one. One of them was mentioned as recently as this morning.
