Brand new white bra especially.
Going abroad to hot country soon and ive bought a white and a bright coloured one.
Realised I always buy new bras specifically for holidays.

Well I did but they were awful so they're going back. Going tomorrow so no time to re-order.

(Wear your old ones whe you're wearing suncream.)

PrincessHoneysuckle · 07/07/2023 19:19

I stick to bikini tops during the day which weirdly never get suncream marks

Not if there’s sun cream involved.

No never occurred to me. A new dress or a swimsuit or something but not bras.

NannyGythaOgg · 07/07/2023 20:47

No, but I get a new pack of (Tesco) knickers

SirenSays · 07/07/2023 20:47

Only if I need something specific for a new outfit

FlounderingFruitcake · 07/07/2023 20:48

No never, unless I need a new strapless for a specific dress, which is I suppose more likely to occur when going on holiday as CBA with strapless stuff day in day out.

tillytoodles1 · 07/07/2023 20:58

I always buy new bras and knickers fir my holidays.

Me too!

I suppose if you coincide the "buying of new bras" with a holiday it's just bloke buying them at any other time.

For me a white one is a good purchase pre holiday as any grub/yellowing of the straps somehow seems more obvious against tanned shoulders.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 07/07/2023 21:06

Like, rather

I definitely buy my own, don't outsource to a Bloke

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 07/07/2023 21:08

Yes to new knickers too Grin

I generally think a good rule of thumb is sufficient pairs of pants so that in theory I could shit myself every day and still not have to do any washing.

No such thing as too many pants

Bullshot · 07/07/2023 21:10

No . I go on holiday at least four times a year so I’d be overwhelmed with bras

I actually tend to pack my oldest stuff as clothes get trashed with sun cream and wine stains

shelbabab · 07/07/2023 21:15

No, as on holiday I'm more likely to wear strapless. I often buy new pants though. Mainly white ones because after I've washed them they are never bright white anymore. I do have a habit of dying them 🙈

headcheffer · 07/07/2023 21:17

Always new knickers! But no not usually bras. I'm a 40G and my bras are expensive.

recklessgran · 07/07/2023 21:18

Yes, I do. In fact I have specific holiday underwear which is all white matching sets. I keep it in a separate drawer from my normal every day underwear which is mainly all odd, multicoloured and not matching. I love wearing white undies on holiday as they look stunning when you have a tan. I know - I'm sad and shallow but it's all part of the holiday to me. [And DH appreciates it too,] After 2 or 3 holidays when they're no longer super white they revert to the everyday drawer and I buy new sets again ready for the next holiday.

Roystonv · 07/07/2023 21:54

Would never think to do this

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 07/07/2023 21:57

I did years ago for a holiday to spice things up, I think they were candy pink and had lace and net. Looked good with a tan and boyfriend at the time loved them.

Never white or rarely white.

TribeD · 07/07/2023 22:38

Isn't there a law about buying new knickers ans bra's for your holiday?

Always do. And new pyjamas too.

Papernotplastic · 07/07/2023 22:47

Maybe a new skin colour bra to wear with a dress or new no-vpl pants. Things that won’t show through lightweight fabrics or low(er) back dresses. I’m more likely to buy new swimwear or beach coverups.

mondaytosunday · 07/07/2023 22:48

No - hate wearing one and if I can get away with wearing none or a swimsuit wear that under clothes. Certainly don't buy new!

Wine stains? Are you exceptionally clumsy?

zurala · 07/07/2023 22:57

No! I had no idea people did this, it seems quite odd to me.

bonfirebash · 07/07/2023 22:57

Nope! I don't wear white underwear anyway and my bras are £40+ so not a chance Grin

WithIcePlease · 07/07/2023 23:04

No it would never occur to me to do this

It's too much of a palaver buying bras to buy them unless it's really necessary
