Looking for a last minute hotel with a sea view balcony or big window hotel. Or beach or something. Quite nice but no idea of what is a good and bad price.
Help!

I can tell you The Headland and Fistral Beach Hotel both have seaviews. Both in Newquay.

Unsure of price or availability though.

The Esplanade in Newquay as well is lovely

Lenniwick Lodge - amazing sea views. Food was hmmm but fabulous restaurants in walking distance. And the views were outstanding - great rooms with baths too.

Just got back from Bedruthan Hotel and Spa which was gorgeous. 5 mins drive from Newquay airport and 15 mins from Padstow.

What's your budget?

Massive budget, I'd go for something like The Cary Arms and Spa at Babbacombe in Torquay. Incredible place, right on the water. Bitch of a hill to go up and down though 😂

Scarlet Hotel (adults only) is a big budget, as is the sister hotel Bedruthan Hotel (kids allowed) near Newquay.

Cheaper would be places like the Queens Hotel in Penzance for example.

But as with all of them, you'll have to check the room actually has a sea view when you book!

From experience would second the Mullion Cove hotel. Personally I have a liking for the Portscatho area so suggest looking at the Driftwood or Rosevine hotels or if you are really pushing the boat out the upmarket Nare Hotel. All three near decent beaches.

And a fabulous beach.

And a drying room for wet kit.

And fabulous service.

And fabulous food.

Saunton Sands Hotel.
One of my happy places.

Watergate Bay Hotel (not far from Newquay). I haven’t stayed but I’ve heard it’s very nice, and the location is gorgeous. We’ve stayed in their self catering lodges and they’re lovely.

I think Samds might be closed for refurbishments.

Burgh Island.

Only if you're seriously wealthy!

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 07/07/2023 18:06

Bedruthan Steps if you're with children, The Scarlet if it's adults only.

Bearpawk · 07/07/2023 20:06

Watergate bay is pricey but gorgeous.

I know of a lovely holiday home run by a lovely couple attached to their home. It has large sea view windows.

Oh yes and I'd love to stay in Burgh Island! Stayed In a lovely old castle-y type place in Noss Mayo years ago, it's gone now though... you could see Burgh from there.
