Just that really. I was horrified to see this man with a baby suckling his nipple. It was bad enough pretending to be a mum on the News te other day. Why the hell are they giving him airtime????

I didn't even take paracetamol when breastfeeding as my primary care was for the health b’s well being of my babies. It's utterly selfish for these fetishistic males to expose babies to the cocktail of drugs necessary to induce galactorrhea. Domperidone is banned by the FDA because of fears over cardiac issues.

Exactly!
I didn't even eat plum yoghurt as it affected DS , definitely no drugs.

It's really unfair to subject a baby to this.

Think it's called
" hiding in plain sight "
and as you can see it 100% works.😡

"Domperidone is banned by the FDA because of fears over cardiac issues." This is the kind of comment I am talking about. MANY women take domperidone for this purpose. It's not banned by the FDA, it's just not licensed, there's a big difference. As far as I know no infant has ever suffered cardiac issues as a result. Hundreds of thousands of women over the years have taken the drug to promote breastfeeding.

Domperidone is not currently a legally marketed human drug and it is not approved for sale in the U.S. On June 7, 2004, FDA issued a public warning that distributing any domperidone-containing products is illegal. FDA also issued an Import Alertrt_ instructing FDA field personnel to detain shipments of finished drug products and bulk ingredients containing domperidone, and refuse admission into the US. FDA took this action because of the concern about the potential serious health risks associated with the use of domperidone by lactating women to enhance breast milk production.*

Rocket1982 · 07/07/2023 10:32

Yeah it's not licensed. I actually do have personal experience of this. I struggled to initiate breastfeeding in the US and then moved back to the UK and struggled here too. In the US they prefer to prescribe reglan (which comes with a different set of side effects). But in the UK domperidone was preferred (because of fears of reglan side effects) at the time about 10 years ago and as far as I know it is the same now. I did not actually end up taking either drug but lots of women I met through breastfeeding support groups were on them.

Clymene · 07/07/2023 10:38

Personally I would feel very uneasy taking a drug to induce lactation when there are such severe known side effects. I would accept that I couldn't breastfeed and use formula.

The serious risks associated with domperidone include cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, and sudden death.

cocksstrideintheevening · 07/07/2023 10:41

Rocket1982 · 07/07/2023 09:15

the drug domperidone is also prescribed to breastfeeding mothers who don’t produce sufficient milk. All this hysteria about possible side effects for the baby from that is pretty insensitive.

I had to fight so hard to get it prescribed and even then they wouldn't prescribe in enough quantity for it to make a difference.

That man has had a shit load more than just domperidone.

Exactly! I really don't understand why anyone would take that risk.

Bluebells1970 · 07/07/2023 10:42

It made me feel really sick to be honest. It isn't right, however it's dressed up.

It's the look on his face in the photograph that made me feel really uneasy.

Rocket1982 · 07/07/2023 10:44

Because it's not actually as risky as these threads are making it sound (studies show no adverse events) and the risk is to the mother rather than the baby. And new mothers are under unreasonable societal pressure to breastfeed. It's proscribed for other issues too (gastric I think), and it's a lot more risky when you are elderly with cardiac risk factors.

Ostryga · 07/07/2023 10:51

But the fluid produced by pumping men full of medication isn’t going to be anywhere near able to sustain a newborn.

It is self-gratifying and putting babies at risk of malnutrition. Plus whatever horrible side-effects come from the huge amounts of medication involved.

Why are we putting men’s sexual fantasies before the well-being of babies?

Rocket1982 · 07/07/2023 10:54

It did make a big difference to some of the women I knew, e.g., doubled their milk supply and made them able to produce most if not all the milk their baby needed.

BodegaSushi · 07/07/2023 10:55

FireflyJar · 07/07/2023 09:13

Whose baby is it anyway???
Is there a female in the background who is letting her child be abused, because that's what I believe must be happening.

This is what I've been wanting to know

In case you were confused by the lack of outrage on here

And discussion about creating a petition here Petitioning Parliament to ban males from attempting to breastfeed infants www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/4841303-petitioning-parliament-to-ban-males-from-attempting-to-breastfeed-infants

Interesting ideas on it

Oh my god I used to know him years ago during uni. Funny how lefty male activist types turn out isn't it. He was good friends with the one that got sacked from 38 degrees for inappropriate behaviour.

David Babbs? Who gave cocaine and ketamine to younger staff members and was dodgy around young women?

Not surprised they're chummy. The left is sadly chock full of these nasty misogynist men, hiding behind cloaks of self righteousness.

The nspcc have said it is ok for someone to feed their child whatever way they like

So if a woman crushes up a few left over hormonal birth pills in a feeding bottle and feeds it to a baby that’s ok too is it NSPCC?

Because I can’t really see the difference between that and a man who has already filled his body with testosterone reducing drugs and feminising drugs in order to pretend to be a woman, and who is now knocking back a cocktail of other drugs, possibly including one that is banned in the US , in order to pretend to breastfeed a baby.

How selfish, egotistic, deluded, narcissistic, vain, brain dead (delete as required) do you have to be to feed a baby a cocktail of artificial chemicals when you have no idea of their possible short or long term effects just to imagine that you are fooling anyone that you actually are a woman?

Millions of women formula feed their children , and their children grow, thrive and develop close bonds with their parents. But that isn’t enough for some people is it.

Clymene · 07/07/2023 18:21

Lots of women falling over themselves to say how great they think Mika is for shoving his nipple into a baby's mouth. I wonder if there's any point at which they think adult wants shouldn't override a baby's needs?

OvaHere · 07/07/2023 18:28

We've already established that nothing that happens to women matters but you'd think the line might be drawn at newborn babies but apparently there is no boundary too far for the people that champion this shit.

Billy Bragg and Freddy (I will live as a man for ever, well for the next two weeks before my appointment at the fertility clinic) McConnell have signed.

Its a feelingz lurve fest.

Noicant · 07/07/2023 18:38

It’s grotesque, I don’t understand how the childs mother doesn’t seem to exist here. I would go nuclear if any man suggested breastfeeding my DD. Mind so open your brain falls out comes to mind.

RedRobyn2021 · 07/07/2023 21:33

Have just seen the photo and I am disgusted. I really cannot understand all these people who say it's transphobic or hateful to be freaked out that a biological man is using drugs in order to lactate then feeding an innocent baby.

Disappointed in Billy Bragg ☹️.
