I've applied for an AO apprenticeship there. I'm very interested in the flexible working element, could you tell me what this looks like for you? Do they allow evening working only? How many days is part time? Grateful for any info.

I do. In my area (office based), we have flexi, which means that we have our core hours between 10-4 but we can log on as early as 7am and work as late as (I think, but don’t quote me because I never do it) 7pm. There’s a limit to how much flexi you can accrue and how much you can take in any one month. And it absolutely has to fit in with the business needs.

I know there are areas that do have evening working, but it’s not the norm for office based work in my experience and very much depends on the area you’re working in. Some areas do shift work and/or are not office based for instance, and that would have an impact on when they need you to be there.

And part time can be pretty much anything depending on the business needs. Obviously it’s not going to work if you want evenings and weekends but your team’s job is Mon-Fri, office hours, but so long as the business needs are met, they are pretty flexible and definitely do their best to accommodate where possible.
