Hi,
Last Friday I discovered a tick but stupidly only got half out. I removed the rest the next day.

However, now I have this mark left on my arm..should I be worried?

ill pop to pharmacy tomorrow but would love advice x

We've had several! Five for me so far this summer and three for DH.

I use needle-nosed tweezers to get them out, as I find they're too small for a tick removal gadget.

I've had a few ticks over the years and fortunately have been able to get them out in a oner. Do you have a proper tick remover for the next time? Your arm is in need of attention. Visit to gp rather than pharmacist?

Do you feel well? Any temperature or flu-like symptoms?

I will rather self amputate my own limb if I found a tick on myself!

Be very aware of you get a red halo round the site of infection.....that's when you have issues!

But agree, pop to docs.

My daughter was given fucidin cream for the swelling but she had removed the whole tick. You probably need to be seen if you haven’t. Keep an eye out for the bullseye mark around the bite as well.

Thank you so much for your quick replies. I’ll contact the doctors first thing and hopefully get up appointment before 2027. 🤦‍♀️

Thank you x

Hope all ok- I've been advised to keep the ticks whenever one is attached. This is if you're at all worried about Lyme, but don't have the bullseye rash/doctors are not clued up, you can send tick away to be tested- if it shows up with Lyme, a doctor will then sit up and listen!
As we live in a hot spot, rurally and my daughter goes to a forest school we had quite a lot last year! But gives peace of mind.
