Tips for flying anxiety

I used to love flying and have been on a million flights. I've been on planes that have had mechanical issues, and ones that have bounced off the runway, and done emergency landings. No issue whatsoever.

Then I hit the perimenopause and I now HATE flying.

I'm stressed out on the way, stressed in the airport, feel dizzy walking towards the plane, feel caged in and claustrophobic getting on, hate sitting there waiting with my seatbelt on and feel on the edge of a panic attack. Then it takes off, the seatbelt comes off and I am absolutely fine, can move about and go the loo.

I have some propranolol which I may take. Aside from this, what can I do to alleviate the stress and distract myself, keep calm whilst this all happens?

Hypnotherapy may be worth researching.
