So I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I work 30 hrs a week 9-3 mon-Fri. We are trying to get a few bit down to the house etc so are looking at different way to bring in money. I have been offered a job in our local shop doing weekends/ evenings ( haven't got the specific days etc yet) im really torn as to what to do.

If any one has second job, is it a nightmare? The money would be handy of course so this is we're im torn.

Partner pays 40% tax so there's no point in him getting anything else

It’s not that difficult .. take it, if you can’t handle it, leave. At one point when my daughter was young I worked three jobs, Saturday only, three nights in a pub and mornings in a local office. Meant minimum no external childcare. Was fine.

In lockdown my DP lost all income overnight and didn’t qualify for none of the schemes so I continued to work 30 hours a week (self employed) but changed my hours to fit around the new F/T employed position and did that for 18 months with a young DC whilst also going thru IVF… abroad! (We had to change to abroad clinic because we could no longer afford U.K.). It was all mad but actually changed our life financially and we have DD now.
You can do it if you really want to!
