Excuse for interview

Need to pop out of work (home based) for an hour or so tomorrow for an interview. What's a believable excuse I can tell my manager??

It's at 9.30am so can't do it over lunch!

last 2 interviews I had I used the kids having a dental appointment as they had been up during the night with shooting pains and then the next was a follow up appointment. (2 interviews in 2 weeks! )

got offered both jobs and old boss was none the wiser until I handed my notice in.

I would personally just block the hour out in my Outlook calendar so if my boss or anyone was wondering where I was or trying to get hold of me I would be showing as 'busy' on Teams etc, and if they wanted to view my diary they'd see that hour blocked.

Yes, same here. It's very unlikely anyone will question it. My colleagues could be interviewing 5 days a week for all I know.

I would say smear test. Nobody asks follow up questions to that!
