Supermarkets in Gran Canaria

Hi there, we're staying in Las Palmas in a few weeks but self-catering. Does anything know much about the supermarkets out there? Do they have any I might have heard of? My son has allergies so I am a bit anxious.

If anyone can help, most appreciated.

We're in fuerteventura on holiday and some of the supermarkets in gran canaria are the same as here e.g. mercadona, hiper and superdino and spar. There's also a lidl

Google translate has a camera feature that will translate ingredients lists for you

Can you translate all the ingredients he needs to avoid into Spanish before you go and you can check ingredients on Spanish food too, and show it in restaurants if you eat out.

Lots and lots of food in the canaries is imported from mainland Europe and will therefore tend to have labels in several European languages. It should be doable.

He's allergic to hazelnuts and peanuts 🙁

You will find some familiar brands out there eg Bertorelli and Lays Crisps. The Hiper Dino are the biggest Dinos and will have the most choice. I honestly think you will find things.
