Anyone a therapist that completes self assessment?

This is my first year working as a private therapist and I'm trying to complete my self assessment.

In terms of expenses, I know I can include room rental, CPD, insurance, memberships etc. However I can't work out if I can include supervision costs (which is mandatory as part of my membership). Can anyone advise please? Thank you!

You can deduct anything which is an expense which allows you to trade. Don't forget any stationery, adverts, tissues etc

You can only take a deduction for expenses incurred wholly and exclusively for the trade - no private element, no capital expenditure, no specifically excluded items (eg entertaining), etc.

Ooh good point for tissues! Last year I was just starting out so that wouldn't apply but will def be getting tissues/pens/stationary to keep notes etc so will add those to next year! Thank you!

I don't think I have got any! I am lucky enough to be able to walk to my practice rooms and all my CPD/supervision has been online!
