When to expect an interview

I applied for a job last week and the last day for applications was yesterday, with interviews taking place on Thursday 6 July.

Just wondering if I am holding out hope for no reason or is it normal to not have made contact for interviews yet?

If applications only closed yesterday they will only start shortlisting today... my HR team then call candidates to arrange interviews over the next few days.

Suppose it's just because interviews are so close to the deadline date it's making me anxious that I've already been decided as a no 😕
