Interview- up against the person doing the job!

As my title suggests, I have been shortlisted for an interview this week; I have managed to find out there are 6 people including myself being interviewed and one of them is currently in post and has been for 12 months on a temp contract.

So my question is- how do I make myself stand out and preform better than the person already doing the job?!

The team work remotely- I had a good chat with the recruiting manager though and she gave me examples of questions she might as and the kind of things she would look for in an answer as well as telling me things I might need to read- so feel better for the chat!

Got told I was appointable but didn't score high enough- it's not all bad though I got good feedback and was told there will be another position coming up soon and they would like to interview me again so will keep my eyes open x

Sorry to hear the OP - obviously not the outcome you wanted. It’s good that they want to interview you again though, they were obviously impressed and probably think you’re more suited to the other role.

No but I'll find out next week when I'm back off holiday

Hi, I was shortlisted after I applied for Helath care assistant in nhs . They are calling me tomorrow not had ential interview as yet. I was wondering what kind of things be asked and how to pass and how many people are in the interview room. Any tips would be appreciated.
