Cost of living: car-related increases

it’s not just supermarket and energy bills is it for this cost of living nightmare?

Car insurance renewal quote was up 14%

Breakdown cover renewal quote was up 58% - I thought I had done the maths wrong so got my partner to double check it!

I use comparison sites and rang up the insurer but still, the expense and also the phaff/ time taken to sort it out has made me feel so cross tonight!

That seems a low % increase for car insurance.
My renewal quotes have been ridiculous for some years - presumably there must be enough people out there who don't put the leg work in each year to make it worth their while.

The only time my breakdown cover when up like that was when my car got to old age. As in , some other places I tried to get quote for, wouldn't cover it.
