Hello

I have a three year old and a two year old. Both currently going to nursery but soon we will be having the long stretch of the 6 week summer holidays!
Does anyone have any idea of any indoor activities I can do to keep them happy? Was going to try and base my day around the typical nursery schedule like Reading time, snacks, playdough, dance...

Anyone else got any good things to do or teach them? Or a schedule they stick to
?

I always took advantage of the fact they didn't have to stay in one place and we went out and about most days.
Different parks, picnics, feeding ducks, free activities at the library, keeping an eye out for things like open days at the local fire station, or local fetes. Near here (many, many miles from the sea) there are three places I know of that have "The Beach" come and visit all for free. Other places have Summer activities on.

Sign up to your local Facebook groups to find them.

However, at home we used to do "gardening" playing in the mud , playing with water, playing with chalks on the patio, things like 'washing the toys' clothes'. 'Cooking' - well I'd be cooking and they got some old tubs and wooden spoons.

great ideas from pp

I will add:

Put a little play tent up or make a den in the lounge or garden.

Have a teddy bears picnic on the living room carpet/ in the garden

when you are completely frazzled a long bath with lots of toys for them both!
