Squirrel or something in loft.

There's something in our loft, I'm taking a guess it could be a squirrel, hope it's not a Rat!

How can I get it out? Tips appreciated.

Get a pest controller in. Unless you want to go up there and lay traps/poison and block access (if it's a rat there's more than one, mice a whole bunch, and they are coming in at ground floor).

You'd be surprised how much noise a mouse can make, so don't assume it's anything bigger.

We had this, called a company, and the mouse they caught was so small I was sure his big brothers were still up there

The fact is you have a hole, or else rat or mouse or whatever-it-is couldn't get in. So that too will need to be addressed.
