A few years ago I holidayed on the Jurassic Coast and spent some time in Lulworth, walking to Durdle Door.

Within the last 5 years or so (I could be out with that figure) I clearly remember news that a storm had taken down the iconic arch, with photos. It was upsetting as I’d loved the area.

Have just been googling now, and it never happened. There was a path collapse nearby, but the arch is still very much there!

Was there another arch nearby that went?
Am I experiencing a Mandela effect?

Not nearby at all but in 2017 the famous Azure Window arch in Malta collapsed during a storm and it was reported on all the news channels.

It was a natural arch so other natural arches such as the Durdle Door may have been referred to in the reports. Is it possible somehow that you may have heard the news report and mixed it up?

There was an April Fool doctored photo doing the rounds this year.

I think there was some major erosion/collapse just near to Durdle door ten years ago. Perhaps that is what you are remembering.

It was definitely the arch that had collapsed though, I remember seeing photos!

It was an April fool! There have been massive cliff collapses at Man o’ War bay next door though I think

Maybe that was it.
I do remember there being a severe storm (a once in a lifetime type storm), then this being reported in several places.
