Soft cotton white shirt that looks like silk and finest fabric.

I saw a man on the train with a beautiful white shirt and the fabric almost looks like silk, but soft definitely not silk
I'd like to get one for my husband, any ideas?

What kind of silk?
A cotton sateen shirt would have a slight satiny sheen to it.

Could it have been a silk blend? My friend has a silk/linen blend jumpsuit that's soft and drapes really nicely but has a high-end sort of finish, I guess from the silk. It's not shiny like some pure silks though.

I'm sure it definitely wasn't silk or certainly not pure silk. Definitely not pure silk.
Someone shirts look stiff but this fabric looked super soft

Good quality viscose can have a lovely, silky drape.

Could be Sea Island cotton - very fine ( and expensive)

That's too see through on the arms.

This was far softer looking, very very soft... Thick..
