My DD is nearly 5. She's bright , fun and a joy to be around. But she's not totally confident in making firm friends. She sort of plays with who is there but other girls her age are " best friends". I hear a lot of "I don't want to play with you" and " you're not my best friend".
Not directed at my DD as I witnessed at a recent birthday party, but it's mostly between the girls she's playing with...
DD says she's "friends with everyone ". She will often play with the boys as well and her teacher has commented on this.
She's happy but doesn't seem to make firm friendships.
Any advice ?
