Asthma peak flow

Im feeling a bit worried tonight.
Im 41 and diagnosed with asthma couple years ago. I missed my review last month. Normally I am fine, dont need my blue inhaler. I have the brown too.
Ive had a cough all day and tonight started with a really sore throat which is making my chest really tight. Did peak flow and its been 250 all night. Taken blue inhaler.
I hate taking the blue inhaler because it makes me feel so strange and shakey.
I am on my own and feeling a bit worried but hopefully go to bed and wake up feeling fine!

Hi I am feeling a bit better thanks. Got a bad cough and feel a bit breathless but not as bad as last night. Will get to doctors tomorrow

You need a review because your medication is not doing its job. Feeling wheezy and breathless at night is very scary.

Ask the surgery to reschedule your review and talk to them about a different reliever. I have Fostair too and before that, Seretide. Both did/do a much better job than Ventolin.

Yes, doctors tomorrow is a great plan. You need an asthma review and you need an action plan so you can feel confident you are doing the right thing in the correct situation. And a meds review sounds like it is a good idea too.

Hope you continue to improve, but if you do feel bad again tonight don't hesitate to call 111 if your blue inhaler isn't making you feel any better.
