Bars open what are you drinking?

I am having a Gordon's pink gin with tesco tonic water and ice. Although, I feel like I should be drinking red wine as I am frozen.

Vodka, lime and soda please!

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:14

@Whatthediddlyfeck oh I used to like that but can't drink vodka now as it makes me sick. Have one on the house Grin

Grey Goose and tonic, lots of ice and lime slices.

RubyMurry22 · 01/07/2023 20:17

Thatchers 0% cider (I’m 6 months AF) 😊

BarelyLiterate · 01/07/2023 20:18

I’ll have a weissbier, please OP. Cheers! 🍺

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:18

@lapisamethyst enjoy

@RubyMurry22 6 months is fantastic. Well done Grin do you feel better for it? Of you don't mind me asking.

Red wine tonight for me 🍷

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:19

@BarelyLiterate I have no idea what that is 😳

planthelpadvice · 01/07/2023 20:19

Very boring, white wine for the lady please! (well actually I already have one but it's nearly gone, so if you're going to the bar...)

Soupsetscared · 01/07/2023 20:20

Vodka lime and lemonade. Cheers

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:20

@ghostbusters red wine is lovely especially on a cold night. That's my winter tipple. Enjoy

OP posts:
ChicagoBears · 01/07/2023 20:21

An ice cold San Miguel (if it’s warm) or a large glass of Merlot (if it’s cold) please!

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:21

@planthelpadvice will get you one in.
@Soupsetscared cheers!

weegiemum · 01/07/2023 20:22

Large glass of chilled Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc please. I can see the bottom of my current one!

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:23

@ChicagoBears it's funny how red wine is a cold night drink.

7Worfs · 01/07/2023 20:23

I don’t drink often, but I’ll have a small 12-year Lagavulin, neat. 🥃

RubyMurry22 · 01/07/2023 20:23

Thank you @Diorinthecountryy ! Yes I feel loads better for it thank you! My wind consumption had crept up to 5 bottles a week, sometime more. Initially I found it difficult but now I’m loving the freedom I feel. I’ve last a stone too in the last 7 weeks 😁

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:27

@RubyMurry22 that all sounds really positive. Well done on such a big change. During lockdowns my wine drinking got high. Down to a few drinks on a Saturday night now. I've noticed some positive changes for me. Better sleep being one of them.

@7Worfs is that a whisky?

@weegiemum will top you up.

I live in the top half of Scotland. Red wine is a regular feature all year round. It's not a winter drink for me 😁 I love it!

ElmTree22 · 01/07/2023 20:36

Glass of Malbec on a cold winters night.
Cold Corona on a warm summers day.
Espresso Martini to start an evening out with the girls, and then a Gin (a Cornish Tarquins) and Fever Tree tonic to continue the night.

Diorinthecountryy · 01/07/2023 20:41

@ghostbusters snap I live up the top of Scotland also. Red wine keeps the cold bearable 😅

@ElmTree22 like your style Grin

I rarely drink but if I do it will be a Sauvignon blanc or a vodka, lime and soda.

Equatorcreator · 01/07/2023 20:48

Vodka with a slimline tonic.Have been IF for the past 8 weeks and only drink 1 night a week now whenit was closer to 7before. Have lost 23lbs so far and actually look forward to a night where I can relax and drink instead of just mindlessly walking to the fridge and cracking open a drink when the clock struck 7

Minikievs · 01/07/2023 20:49

Rhubarb gin and slimline please!
But I'd like it in a tall tumbler please, not one of those massive round glasses that remind me of drinking fishbowls on holiday as a teenager

ButteryNut · 01/07/2023 20:50

Usually a Sauvignon Blanc but tonight I’m drinking a nice glass of Trivento Malbec. And clutching a hot water bottle. In July!
