Is anyone else getting stupid spam emails with subjects about OralB but it's clearly just phishing?

I'm receiving multiple a day going into my normal inbox rather than junk and it's really irritating me now. I'm marking them as junk or spam without opening them now cause I figured I think the sender can tell if an email is opened? But it's all different spammy type email addresses, never the same one.
Don't know what's happened to kick off the sudden I flux of them but I haven't signed up to anything new. Very irritating!

I've noticed a huge increase in spam emails in the last few months. It's like Microsoft have just stopped filtering things out. So frustrating and making me consider closing my account and starting with a new email address - but I'm attached to it after 20+ years and changing would be a hassle.

I also am considering this. I guess you can do it and keep checking your Hotmail once a month to see if any important ones come in. Then after a year or so it should be fine to just not check it and I think Microsoft close them after a certain amount of time with no activity

Yes! I’m getting loads of OralB ones too. I’ve been blocking each sender and deleting but still getting one or two a day.

The OralB ones are always from a Gmail account (different each time) and skip the junk and go straight to my inbox

Yes! OralB all the time! But whyyyyy! If u was a scammer I think I'd try to think of something a bit more glamorous than a toothbrush company.

It's only been my Hotmail that's affected by this. A few of years ago I set up a Gmail account which I use for anything important and/or trusted. I use the Hotmail account for all other log ins, purchases etc and it seems to work. I get hundreds of junk emails to the Hotmail account (only oralB and a select few make it into the focused inbox) and no junk at all to the Gmail account.

Yep.

I lost access to my mailbox a few months ago due to “unusual activity”, since I have recovered it the level of Spam has been unbelievable.

Yes my inbox isn't filtering them at the moment, I find it goes through phases, they fix the issue for a while then they start slipping through again. I mean of all the scams...toothbrushes?!

I'm getting at least 4 a day! All Oral B.

I'm well used to spam mail now as my email address is almost 30 years old now so it's been used a few thousand times signing up to stuff from shop receipts to (unwittingly) dodgy websites. But these Oral B ones aren't giving up no matter how many I block.

I was getting about 20-30 OralB ones straight into my inbox, but strangely from today they're going straight into Spam. Maybe Microsoft have sorted it out!

much more amusing was the email that went straight to my junk mail…

it claimed to have had spyware on my device and had seen all my ‘disgusting internet searches’ , and apparently they have video of me wanking in front of my computer 😂

Thankfully, I have a clear conscience…mumsnet and the decathlon website have been it this week. And I’d never wank in front of my laptop 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been getting the French ones as well, I have been blaming the French travel company I used recently thinking they’d sold my details on but maybe not! 😂 I’ve been getting the Oral B ones too.
