Latitude - camping tips?

Anyone been to latitude? Usually, when we go to festivals (Glastonbury etc) as a group, we've all needed to get there at the same time or put each others tents up in order to camp as a group. Is latitude the same - or is it a bit more chilled and spacious. I did read that somewhere. We are in family field. Train strikes have cocked up all our plans so everyone arriving at odd times...

I've stayed in family camping loads of times at latitude. It starts to get pretty full by the Thursday night so might be difficult to have a few tents together. Maybe take some tape and mark out an area?

Can someone get down there early with all the tents snd pitch them? Then they can be bought drinks by everyone else all weekend or something in appreciation? Everyone else can get there then at their leisure. A car is probably needed for this. I loved Latiude but it is the only festival where I've had stuff nicked from my tent.

Just seen you've already thought of putting each others tents up. I should pay more attention! I've seen people put down tape. That's fine, so long as it's not down for too long before your friends arrive.

Family camping is lovely and quiet but up a hill and gets very full with huge tents.. if you want to get a nice spot you need to get there early otherwise you'll be at the far end of the big big field. The family camp is already pretty far from everywhere. You have to walk up a hill through a woods to get there. It is lovely though.

Thanks for replies. I've not used tape before, but maybe we will try that. In recent years I've got used to arriving in a car as gates open and even taking a gazebo... this will be different!

I wouldn't rely on tape as people will just ignore it if you've taped off a large area and they're struggling to find space. Much safer for the people arriving first to put all the tents up.

Any tips on the best car park to aim for for the family camping? Thanks!
