Tummy holding leggings. Reccomendations

OutsidInInsideOut · 30/06/2023 20:15

Just that really.
Need some everyday leggings that hold my ' mum tum' a bit as lower overhang and normal leggings dont hold and makes me look more frumpy.
So reccomendations please, not too expensive preferably.
Tia

I got some brilliant ones from Amazon, they're so comfy and have a waist band. I've been wearing them 2 years and they still look good as new.

I've gone from a 14/16 to a 10 in that time and the S/M still fit. They go a bit higher up so you don't get the waist band overhang and another plus is they don't go see through!

I've got these too. They're so comfortable

Those leggings are amazing- and not see through at all. They’re not shiny OP

Sweaty Betty Power Leggings. They hold you in really well and give you a great smooths shape. the front doesn't roll over. I'm a convert. Gradually over time I swapped all my others for SB.

SB Power

A bit pricier than normal but you can get them in the sales and/or there's always a discount code floating round.

For me they are worth the price.

Maybe don’t wear leggings full stop?
they’re not very fashionable and not flattering on any body shape

I have a post-caesarean 'apron' and am fat. I am a size 20. Most leggings roll down my tummy mid-walk, or are too big and move down. Also, some leggings show the pattern of your pants, through the fabric. I prefer a high waist, as if it starts to roll down it flips under the apron, and makes me feel like the whole lot will roll off!

I have tried most high street brands (well, the ones I could actually afford), and none of them stayed put and/or showed more than I would like. I work in a school, so reliable coverage is a must.

The best I've found is Morrisons own-brand. They have a wide waistband, so stay put without cutting in. They are the most comfortable I own. They wash well and are pretty good value.

They look like this: https://www.ksdlfkdldfsd.pw/products.aspx?cname=morrisons+ladies+leggings&cid=45

I can't recall the exact price, but it's less than £15.

Nothing wrong with leggings. I wear them for comfort not fashion

TheFormidableMrsC · 01/07/2023 09:55

I've just bought some cotton ones (with a high Lycra content) from the ASOS hourglass range. Lovely thick high waistband. Really flattering, comfy and not see through.

Otherwise I recommend Love Leggings (they have recently changed name to Lovall).

I wear leggings because i have crps so most other material hurts.
I couldn't give a rats ass if they're fashionable or not tbh.

I don't feel the need to follow fashion

What's the point in typing that out 🤣 as if OP is going to say "thanks for for your recommendations for leggings everyone, but I've now been informed they're not fashionable so I'll clearly never wear them again!"

🙄🙄🙄 please enlighten us to what is fashionable

OP I'm glad you asked this! I need really good post caesarean leggings to suck the tum in.

Black leggings are a staple and are flattering to most body sizes - provided they're not see through!

The BEST leggings I ever got were SPANX motorbike - quite high wasted, thick, really tight and sexy! Got so many compliments and people buying them after seeing them.

Pricey but worth every £££

I have some lovely high waist ones from Primark (from their sportswear range). Obviously can't link, but worth a look if you have one nearby
