Main character was fat and lonely rich child, who lost a lot of weight in Paris. Possibly Shirley Conrad or similar. Any ideas??

Was the character male or female? Age? (roughly...) ???

Shirley Conran even. She then went on to be a top model/fashion designer/ other fabulous career etc

Female. Young, very rich.
