Would you send dc into school in these until end of term?

I thought these would be OK until summer until the plastic went to. Ds is 11. Don't really want to buy new shoes if I can avoid it just for a few more weeks

Me too normally but I have dropped the ball on these. I should have replaced them as soon as there was a tiny hole after half term, but I was hoping they would last out.

Now end of year slump has set in and I'm ready to give up. Dd has broken her arm, mums just died. Part of me doesn't care if I'm honest.

They look fine now - really amazing repair job.

I also don't really understand the thing about children growing in the 6 week long holidays. Mine take at least 9 months to change shoe size. Maybe I just have children with really steady growth.

Mine usually do (they’re tall kids but have small feet), but they do tend to save the random feet growth spurts for the summer, so I wouldn’t replace school shoes now when they will be in trainers and sandals all summer (and I’m pretty sure at least one child is gearing up for a growth spurt)
