Madonna has had extreme body issues for decades. She gave up the extreme exercise and compensated with extreme body surgery with bosoms up to her chin, her face going through five revolutions in as many years and an arse that has no relation to her thighs or hips.
I side eyed her tour announcement. How the hell can artist whose art doesn't depend on singing ability , but physicality get herself in any condition that would justify arena ticket prices? Especially as said artist is well out of physical condition mentally and physically and whose last tour, in better health showed many signs of behind the scenes " end of days" shenanigans?
Madonna changed when she changed her management. Hard headed people don't need "yes" people managing them , especially those of a "fan" more than contemporary disposition .
Secondly....social media with its instant validation , yet instant non filtered judgement was never the lace for a Legend Artiste of questionable talent, brittle ego, any attention seeking, liberal feminist, yet internally " not like the other women" misogynistic, youth seeking disposition to plant themselves.
The last Grammy's was the nail in the coffin. No rapture of applause on entering the stage, her online Kardashianesque clout chasing antics having stripped any notion of "out of the fray' legend status honouring mystery and sense of security in that status.
The same youth that she is chasing giving nary a fuck in these times of complete non deference and elder hating. How can that be , considering that it is Madonna that have birth to the surfeit of clout seeking and "drive" over talent , all fur coat and no knickers pop stars who show damn near everything but the clit and the gooch , but with more humour than Madge ever did?
Madonna now needs to cleave to get sturdy Midwestern roots and realise that she just hasn't got the constitution to be a junkie.

No, I'm not a fan, but she had an imprint on anybody GenX with access to a radio. I've never bought her personas or feminism. She has always needed male validation and has always had a weird relationship with Blackness and Black African American culture and Black and Latino male sexuality, straight and gay. Her main targets of artistic censure were Black and mixed race women Janet, Mariah and Whitney and she tried to paternalise Michael Jackson and Prince.
She's got four Black children to get to the age of majority. She needs to sort herself the fuck out and actually harness, truly any " don't give a fuck" about her that she has been faking and make it real.
