Over the summer holidays, what would you do? Budget of around £600.

Overnight in a spa.

Niftyswiftie · 28/06/2023 21:24

Long hikes in the Lake District

JazzyBBG · 28/06/2023 21:27

If I could get abroad I would. If not I'd like to try St David's Hotel or St Brides in Wales. Or King Street Townhouse in Manchester. Enjoy!

Yodapie · 28/06/2023 21:28

Spa hotel break or a couple of nights glamping

keel34 · 28/06/2023 21:31

@JazzyBBG we do love the St David's Hotel! Stayed a few times. Would love to get abroad, seen some deals for c£200 each, not sure how to source last minute deals these days, but not the best time of year to be trying to find a cheap deal!

@keel34 ah Im jealous I'd love to go! Try Jet2 selecting the 2 /3 days as an option. We got a great deal in April when we got a weekend away.

CuteCillian · 28/06/2023 21:32

UK city overnight, eat at a teppanyaki place and go to a comedy club.

mycatsanutter · 28/06/2023 21:33

Spa hotel in a nice city , long lie in ,nice breakfast , sightseeing /shopping chill in the spa. Meals out , drinks , lots of sex 😀

JeminaSunshine · 28/06/2023 21:48

£600 will be very tight for overseas in the summer if that includes food and airport parking etc

We usually book a few last minute things like Amsterdam or Malaga but even there is £££ this year

keel34 · 28/06/2023 21:52

@JeminaSunshine yes not expecting to be able to, found a 4* 2 night break to Vienna for £175 each which looks fun, but then we know how much everything else adds up. Going to look in the days leading up on the off chance we see something.

Altona towers weekend. Adventure sports weekend. Or something similar we couldn't do with little ones in tow.

NeverThatSerious · 28/06/2023 22:16

Oh that would be so amazing, he works so bloody much 😅 we went to a gorgeous little Airbnb a few years ago, before kids, in the middle of nowhere and spent the whole weekend just shagging and laughing. It was fantastic. We didn’t even leave the property, I don’t think. It had a hot tub, a beautiful sitting room with huge windows overlooking the moorland and the comfiest bed ever. Something along those lines.

Smashingwatermelons · 28/06/2023 22:18

I would definitely stay in the UK and drive/train somewhere so as not to loose hours hanging around at airports. Depending on where we live, I’d go for a luxurious hotel in the Highlands, Lake District or Devon/ Cornwall . Hikes during the day, food & wine / pub / drinks / music afterwards…

Zarataralara · 28/06/2023 22:34

We’d have headed into the mountains ( about 90 minutes drive away) hiked up to the lake, maybe the next day had a cable car ride.

Mommasgotabrandnewbag · 28/06/2023 22:36

We'd have a couple of lovely shags, watch a movie and go for a walk around our local nature reserve, then out for dinner. Then we'd save the remaining £550.

CalistoNoSolo · 29/06/2023 09:42

Hotel, food, sleep, sex.

mindutopia · 29/06/2023 09:51

Hotel with nice facilities and food and lots of walking and swimming.

Dh and I went to a spa hotel by the beach and did exactly that last month, though I'll admit it cost more than £600 - but first time away together without kids in 6 years!

professionalnomad · 29/06/2023 11:34

Dinner, bed and breakfast at a swanky country hotel somewhere beautiful.

mondaytosunday · 29/06/2023 11:47

I wouldn't fly anywhere just for a couple night. I'd pick a lovely country hotel with a spa and delicious food.
